Problem Note 40704: Previously exported file is deleted if subsequent project execution fails in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

When executing a project with an export task to SAS Data File (*.sas7bdat), the previously exported file is deleted if the execution fails.
The following steps illustrate when this problem might occur.
- Create a new project and add a table from the SASHELP library to the process flow.
- Right-click on this table and select Export as a Step in Project. Select SAS Data File (*.sas7bdat) as the export format, and then specify a path on the SAS server.
- Execute the project to export the SAS data set to the path that you specified.
- Now, make a change to the project that will cause the execution to fail and re-run the project. The file that you exported in the previous execution is deleted without any warning.
